Employers
"As the Employment Developer for PACE and Making Connections Indianapolis, assisting job seekers who want to work, get back to work, means everything to me. Working with someone who is in desperate need to make things right, return to work and provide for their families is so exciting. And better yet, I get to play a small part in helping someone put their life back together! Those seeking employment after incarceration and the typical displaced job seeker are not atypical of most Americans in 2010. In fact, the playing field has been evened. The amount of displaced workers presenting with years of college education and work history compared to those who are re-entering the employment field after incarceration is even, both need and want to get back to work!" -Lisa Cummings, Employment Developer
Employers want to see growth in their workforce that affects their continued success in the marketplace. The more prepared a job seeker is for a specific workplace environment, the higher the success for both company and job seeker alike.
PACE offers excellent prescreened candidates ready to prove themselves far beyond just collecting a paycheck. When one presents with life’s bad choices, regretful mistakes and, over time, demonstrates the changes needed to get on the right track, we celebrate!
Employment is the centerpiece for life’s pieces to begin to be put back together. In fact, job placements have steadily increased for those receiving employment supports through PACE. The PACE Preferred Employer Network is key to improving the workforce, improving the lives of our citizens and public safety. Our relationship goes far beyond a phone call, but also offers reverse referrals for service of goods. This unique opportunity to connect business to business through PACE’s Preferred Employer Network, has built a strong economic base. In the past year, employers have stepped up in a big way, to offer positions to our pre-screened clients, while also taking advantage of using the state and federal resources. PACE leads the State of Indiana in the number of Fidelity Bonds processed supporting those with a criminal history barrier in the workplace.
